Introduction
The AEMP 2.0 API (Application Programming Interface) from Volvo Construction Equipment is a RESTful API for retrieving machine data, in compliance with the ISO 15143-3:2016 Standard.
This industry best practice, defines a set of web services that provide information about the fleets of mobile equipment and the associated telematics data. It is in a standardized format for the use and convenience of equipment and fleet owners.
How does the data flow work?
Your Volvo machines generate the telematics data, which is stored in the backend server. On the request from your specific application, data flows from our backend server (CareTrack) to your backend system via the API. (Figure Below)
We adopt flexible integration pattern and access authentication procedures and the retrieved data fields are technically complaint to the ISO standard. The latest version, allows additional machine data points to be exposed, as compared to the previous (1.2) release.
Utilize this data to either integrate your order & billing systems, or choose to create your own asset management dashboard to view the fleet’s productivity & uptime!
